Taking a stab at virtual events

Last night we held our inaugural virtual event - and it was a blast. The technology gods were with us and everyone settled into our Zoom workshop with ease!

Our participants learned about the basics of needle felting from local artist, Janet Peter. Admiralty House has partnered with Janet in the past, and as usual she effortlessly guided our learners through the process, answering questions, providing constructive feedback and support. 

We were inspired by the dogs that show up in many of the photographs in our archival collection like the one in our event poster. Janet was able to bring this sweet pup to "life" for us in felted form. Each of our participants walked away with their own take on this dog, and now has the knowledge necessary to hone their needle felting skills and finesse their creation!
