The Admiralty House team is already deep into our Mount Pearl Frosty Festival project and has completed two interviews with community members involved with the Festival over the years.
Yesterday, Dave Lythgoe, who has volunteered for almost a decade, shared his favourite memories and proudest moments with our interviewer. He highlighted the relationship-building that occurs because of the Frosty Festival
This morning our research team had a wonderful interview with long-time Frosty Festival volunteer, Agnes Murphy. She has been involved in the Festival since its inception in 1983, holding a variety of roles, including Chairperson in 2010.
It was a delight to hear from Agnes, and we look forward to diving deeper into the memories she shared as we progress with the project.
"I did the Frosty Festival Pageant, which was my favourite, and I headed that for 10 years. It was rewarding I can tell you, working with all those high school girls, working with the committee, I made friends that are everlasting friends for me in Mount Pearl" - Agnes Murphy, 2020
