First off, I would like to give you a little bit of background information about myself:
I grew up in the City of Mount Pearl where I spent most of my time swimming for the Mount Pearl Marlins or playing all-star soccer with the Mount Pearl Soccer Association. I graduated from O’Donel High School in 2014 and started my University studies at Memorial University shortly after, I am now in my 5th year at Memorial University where I am studying Archaeology, with special interests in biological archaeology and community/ tourism archaeology. In my spare time you can find me at Coastal Wave Elite cheerleading gym where I am an athlete on our open aged team and a coach of one of our youth aged teams. I am the youngest of three siblings with an older brother and sister and I am obsessed with my dog Rylie, she is a shitzu poodle!
My position at the museum as Public Programming officer means I will be organizing and running our drop-in programs and events, including our sea creature event on July 11th. I am excited to spend the summer with the Admiralty House and look forward to furthering my knowledge, while teaching and being involved with the community over the next eight weeks.
Thanks for reading!
Erin George
