Canada Summer Jobs Opportunities:
Event Coordinator (1 position available)
8-week term
$14.00/hour at 35 hours per week
Museum Interpreter (2 positions available)
8-week term
$12.50/hour at 35 hours per week
The persons applying for the positions that are funded by the Canada Summer Jobs must meet the following criteria:
(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
Young Canada Works Opportunity:
Research Assistant (1 position available)12-week term
$14.00/hour at 35 hours per week
The persons applying for the position that is funded by the Young Canada Works must meet the following criteria:
(a) are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent status are not eligible);
(b) are legally entitled to work in Canada;
(c) are between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
(d) are willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment;
e) will not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) during the Young Canada Works (YCW) work assignment;
(f) have been a full-time high school, college, CEGEP or university student (as defined by their educational institution) in the semester preceding the YCW work assignment; and
(g) intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW work assignment.
