Public Programming Officer

The 12-week term at $14/hour for 35 hours per week

The Public Programming Officer will be responsible for organizing summer programs at Admiralty House Communications Museum, in-person and/or virtual, pending Covid-19 restrictions. This includes writing activities proposals, conducting evaluations on the museum programs, and developing virtual content. They will also be responsible for the opening and closing of the museum for one day on the weekend during the summer months and conducting guided tours.

Successful applicants will possess strong written and oral communication skills, the capability to work independently and with a team, experience with managing social media platforms, and have an interest in education or museum studies. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and past experience with offering events for children are strong assets. Applicants should also possess some level of French to conduct tours and answer questions.
