Activity Time: Paper Planes

We love the history of flight at Admiralty House! Mount Pearl has a deep connection to aviation history – the Transatlantic Air Race in 1919. Adventurous pilots from around the world attempted to be the first to make a nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean. They set off from Newfoundland, and the farmlands around Mount Pearl made excellent runways for these bold aviators.

Today we are teaching you how to make a paper airplane!

You will need:
8.5” x 11” printer paper
Markers/Pencil Crayons/Crayons

The video includes a breakdown of each step, but here is a detailed breakdown!

How far did your plane fly? Let us know in the comments and show off your special design!
